This year, Iphone Blood Pressure Cuff, next up, Iphone Defibrillator

Apple is introducing the ability to connect Accesories to the Iphone App and the App controls the accessory.

They demo-ed simple things like an EQ for your stereo, but they also showed this picture of medical devices connected and controlled by the Iphone. If you can take your blood pressure with an Iphone, why not a Defibrillator? How about the 911 operator can send you a text message that kicks off the shock to your friend with cardiac arrest? The Iphone can even play a loud voice in several languages "CLEAR!", "CLARO!" and then send the GPS coordinates to the Ambulance.

Contact me immediately if you are interested. I am looking for investment capital.

Depeche Mode - Sounds of the Universe

I must still be in a happy daze from listening to the new album for not sending out a shoutout to Depeche Mode and Sounds of the Universe. It is more of an old school electronic/synth album. I really like it since I liked all the older People are People and Construction Time Again albums.
You can check it out at:

Depeche Mode still strong since 1981! We will be in San Diego to see the Concert!

Oracle buys major share of Virtualization

Oracle just bought VirtualIron, one of the biggest virtual server competitors to VMware yesterday. Together with Sun's virtualization, and Oracle's own, I predict they are making a big play against Cisco and Vmware. This could try to capture more space in this market. Oracle's current offering is free, Sun's was going to be next to free and open source, and Virtualiron is based on open source. If they get everyone using these new free or near free products, and they have integrated hardware (sun), then why wouldn't a company choose to also run the Oracle DB where Oracle makes the big money? Especially if the could show that using all the integrated products together have performance 10X a comparable Cisco/Vmware/Microsoft offering?

Google Goes Down - I feel better

Even Google goes down. If a Market Cap of 123 Billion still doesn't mean 100% uptime, then what am I worried about?
